Irene was my Grannie.....a great lady who loved her family dearly....taken from us suddenly on 8th oct 2003.
My Grannie loved her life especially all the new babies that were always coming into the family as she had 12 of her own....and uncounted granchildren and now great granchildren....she especially loved christmas....it was always her favourite time of year and took great pride in decorating the whole hse and the tree so it always looked perfect.

We had a wonderful Grannie,
One who never really grew old;
Her smile was made of sunshine,
And her heart was solid gold;
Her eyes were as bright as shining stars,
And in her cheeks fair roses you see.
We had a wonderful Grannie,
And that' s the way it will always be.
But take heed, because
She's still watching all us,
So let's make sure
She like's what she sees.
In memory of a special mum
They say that times a healer
but i am not so sure
for every time i think of you
i miss you even more,
The pain and heartache linger on
and make me feel so blue
and even when i wear a smile
i am longing, MUM, for you
and so , i just want you to know
that you will always stay

A million times we've needed you,
A million times we've cried.
If love alone could have saved you,

If all the world was ours to give,

To see you coming up the steps,
And walking through the door.
To hear your voice and see your smile,
To sit and talk a while,
To be with you that same old way,
Would be our fondest day.
A heart of gold stopped beating,
Two smiling eyes closed to rest,
God broke our hearts to prove to us,
He only takes the best.
I long to see your smile
Hear your laughter, hug you tight
But you're no longer with me
You've headed toward the light
I'm sure you are quite happy
